Digital Converting or Digital Die Cutting ?
Digital converting is a process in which a focused laser beam is directed to cut, kiss-cut, score perforate, score, or etch patterns into materials in accordance with the specifications of a vector file. High processing speeds can be accomplished as a result of optimizing the pattern’s cutting path.
Advantages of non-contact laser process
- eliminates the need for hard tooling or dies
- allows for multiple processes to be performed
The result is a fast, clean, cost-effective production solution which maintains an exceptional standard of quality. Digital converting is especially ideal for applications with feature locations, tolerances, size, or material characteristics that would typically be difficult or impossible to process using a traditional die.
